SkyWings are one of the seven tribes living on Pyrrhia. They live in The Sky Kingdom located on the central and north part of Pyrrhia, on the "wing" of the continent. Some SkyWings also live in the town of Possibility, located between the sky kingdom and The Kingdom of Sand. They are currently ruled by Queen Ruby. However they where used to be ruled by Queen Scarlet up to the end of The Dragonet Prophecy. They are the fastest fliers compared to all the other dragon tribes, and are characterized by their large wings and hot fire.[1]
Appearance
SkyWing scales are able to be crimson, red, orange, or yellow, with underscales that tend to be lighter than their other scales. Their eyes are able to be orange, amber, or yellow, SkyWings with firescales being the exception, who have blue eyes.
Skywings are muscular dragons with long, waving horns. They have small spikes on their back and the largest wingspan of all the tribes. They have a spike on the tip of their snout, and one spike on either side of their jaw.
Abilities
SkyWing have the hottest firebreath of any tribe, and are able to hold their fire in to highest heat, they are also the fastest tribe in flight. Some dragonets may hatch with a condition known as firescales, where the dragonet has too much fire and will have scales that are able to engulf objects in flames when touched. SkyWings can be fireless, and are paler than SkyWings with fire.
History
During the war of sand queen succession
The queen of the SkyWings during the war was Queen Scarlet, who was allied with Burn and the MudWings. Scarlet was a savage leader. She held her prissoners atop an arena, where they fought to the death for a chance of freedom.
Close to the end of the war during the first book The Dragonet Prophecy. Queen Scarlet had captured The Dragonets of Destiny: Clay, Tsunami, Starflight, Glory and Sunny. However during a battle in the arena, between Clay and Peril. Glory shot her deadly venom in Queen Scarlets face[2] (before this no one except for RainWings knew about this venom). Scarlet had survived, but she had dissapeared and it was unceartan for everyone if she had survived or not. The kingdom was brought to dissaray. In Scarlets place her daughter Ruby took the throne. Not all SkyWings choose to follow ruby, and choose to stay loyal to Scarlet. Some feared that this event could have made the war even worse "Like the SandWing rivalry all over again. Making the war even worse." - Moray of the SeaWings[3].
