Stonemover is a male NightWing animus and the father of Sunny. He currently resides within Jade Mountain.
Description[edit | edit source]
Stonemover has gray and black scales,[1] black eyes,[2] and is described as large, but not enormous.[3] He has deep lines across his face[4] and some of his scales look heavier and thicker.[5] Stonemover has a deep, serious, raspy voice.[6]
Life[edit | edit source]
Stonemover was raised on the NightWing Island, where he was present for the creation of The Dragonet Prophecy[7] and witnessed Queen Battlewinner's efforts to convince Pyrrhia that the NightWings could read minds and see the future.[8]
Stonemover met Thorn eight years before the events of arc one. During his time with Thorn, he created two enchanted tunnels connecting areas across Pyrrhia.[9] One connected the rain forest and the desert, which Thorn knew of. The other connected the Nightwing Island to the rain forest.
Before Sunny's egg, Stonemover left for Jade Mountain, leaving a letter for Thorn that went undiscovered until Sunny's reunion with her. He enchanted himself so that his use of animus magic turns his scales to stone instead of his soul, immobilizing him in his cave.[10] To keep himself from starving, Stonemover enchanted a fox named Dinner to bring him food every few days.[11]
Stonemover did not know he had an egg, learning when Sunny came to visit after meeting Thorn and discovering the letter.[12]
After Thorn become queen of the Sand Kingdom, she visited Stonemover at Jade Mountain for the first time since he left.[13]
After Darkstalker's return, Flame attempted to kill Stonemover by a cut to his neck.[14][15] Darkstalker healed him by enchanting a stalactite to heal any dragon it touches.[16] Stonemover's body was restored by this,[17][18] but he pleaded to return to his statue-like state out of fear.[19] Darkstalker granted his request.[20]
Stonemover was summoned to the NightWing palace along with all the other animus dragons by Darkstalker.[21] When asked by Darkstalker how many dragons were present, he answered four, revealing Turtle's presence.[22]
Stonemover returned to his cave, but it is never mentioned how this happens.[23]
