Then-Queen Scarlet ordered Kestrel to kill the two dragonets. However, Kestrel tried to escape with them. Scarlet had caught up to them and said that she would forgive Kestrel on one condition. She had to kill one of her dragonets for the queen's forgiveness. Kestrel chose to kill Peril's brother, but Scarlet changed her mind again and ordered her guards to kill Peril.
