Animus magic is a rare ability found in some dragon tribes. Animus dragons are able to enchant objects or living beings to change their appearance or behavior, or to instill magical properties into enchanted objects. Animus magic has almost no limits, but may have negative effects on the user.
Animus magic is genetically inherited. The genes for animus magic are currently present in the NightWings, SandWings, and SeaWings, and were formerly present in the IceWings and SkyWings.
As of arc three, there are no current animus dragons, due to an enchantment made by Jerboa III.
