SeaWings are one of the seven tribes living in Pyrrhia. The SeaWings live in the Kingdom of the Sea, where they live below the water. SeaWings have the ability to breathe underwater, see in the dark, and create huge waves with their tails. They are also excellent swimmers. Their current queen is Queen Coral, whose current heirs are Tsunami, Anemone and Auklet. The SeaWing royal family carries the trait which allows them the potential for animus magic.

Appearances

SeaWings can have blue, green or aquamarine scales. They also have webs between their claws to help them swim faster, and gills on their necks to help breathe underwater. Their claws are described to be as sharp as fish hooks. SeaWings are covered with luminescent stripes on their tails, snout and underbellies. They use their luminescent scales to communicate below water. Royal SeaWings have a spiral pattern on their wings.

Culture

Talons of Power

When SeaWings have turned two years old, they are tested if they have animus magic. This ceremony is called Talons of Power, and takes place next to the ruins of the old Island Palace. Both Anemone and Fathom's powers where discovered during the Talons of Power ceremony.

History

2000 years before The Dragonet Prophecy

Their queen at the time was Queen Lagoon. During Queen Lagoon's reign, the Seawing had two animus dragons: the queen's brother, Albatross, and prince Fathom. During a party at the Island Palace, Albatross went mad and killed several SeaWings and a SkyWing visitor. It is believed that Albatross went mad because his use of his animus magic teared away at his soul. Albatross had killed Queen Lagoon, her husband Humpback, their daughter Splash, Fathom’s parents (Reef and Manta), as well as Scallop, Eel, a musician, and Princess Sunset of the SkyWings. The only one able to take the throne was Princess Pearl at five years of age.

Pearl sent away Fathom to the Night Kingdom where the NightWings lived. She sent him away both because of her, and the tribes fear of his animus powers, and also to teach the new found animus, Darkstalker, of the dangers of animus magic. Indigo, Fathom’s childhood best friend (and partial lover), asked Queen Pearl if she could also come to guard Prince Fathom. Pearl had no choice but to allow her. She also sent two other guards with them (being Lionfish and Wharf).

Fathom befriended Clearsight and Darkstalker, to the point where Fathom often forget for hours at a time what he had been through. Tragically, Fathom had to betray Darkstalker to save the future of all of Pyrrhia.

Fathom hid Darkstalker’s Scroll in the Rainforest, and disappeared with Indigo once Darkstalker was put to sleep under a mountain.

Since current day SeaWings have animus magic, at one point Fathom’s descendants joined back within the royal line, and royal SeaWings are all descendants of Fathom and Indigo’s line.
