Description[edit | edit source]
Clay is a typical MudWing with warm, brown scales that resemble wet mud. His underbelly is a lighter shade of tan, and his eyes are a deep amber color. He is wide, with strong shoulders, a round snout, and a bulky frame. Clay walks with a limp on his hind leg, which was caused by the bite of a dragonbite viper at the SandWing stronghold. Like all MudWings, Clay can hold his breath for extended periods of time underwater like most MudWings, and he is fire resistant due to him hatching from a blood red egg. Clay is a competent fighter.[1]
Clay is kind, loyal, and supportive. He is often seen as the "big brother" of the Dragonets of Destiny: always putting others safety and happiness before his own. He has a gentle and forgiving nature, rarely holding grudges, and preferring to avoid conflict when possible.[2] Despite this, he is incredibly brave and will not hesitate to defend his friends and loved ones, even at great personal risk.[3] Clay is known for his hearty appetite and love for food.[2] He is deeply empathetic and often serves as the emotional anchor for the group, offering comfort and encouragement when others are in distress. Clay has a strong moral compass and often serves as the voice of reason. His optimism and resilience make him a natural leader, even though he is modest about his own abilities.
Life[edit | edit source]
Clay was raised in a cave by Dune, Kestrel and Webs with the other Dragonets of Destiny: Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, and Sunny.
