Preferred way to timeline History section for consistency[edit source]

OK, so, as I've seen, the history section on this article is a little inconsistent with its datings and timeline. What I mean more specifically, is that the sub-headings breaking apart the section, like 'The War of SandWing Succession' and '2000 years before The Dragonet Prophecy', do not correlate with each other at all, with the former naming an event and the latter naming a book and year. Naturally, it would be best to fix it and make it consistent, but if we're to have history sections on every article about the tribes, it would probably be good to have a little consistency between all of the articles.

The two best and general ideas I have right now are just what I mentioned earlier, events or books. If events were used, we'd have sub-headings similar to 'Pre/Post-Tree Wars' or 'War of SandWing Succession', and maybe even have years since The Scorching as well. If books were used, it would be separated with sub-sections detailing events that happened in specific books. I, myself, am honestly not really sure which one would be better though, both have their own pros and cons in my mind. Therefore, it would probably be better to mix both of the formats, but the best way to do that, I am also unsure.

One idea that I have and prefer, is to have preference over naming events, but for the sub-headings to also sometimes name a book — or a series of books — in parentheses or somewhere else in the heading's title. Something like: '(Books 1–5) War of SandWing Succession' and '(The Lost Heir) Destruction of the Summer Palace'. These are my initial thoughts and whatnot, but I'm still unsure of the best way to go about it, SO, what do yous think? Drachenlebenstil (talk) 06:08, 24 January 2025 (PST)Reply
