Cricket is a female HiveWing dragonet who was introduced in The Lost Continent, and is the main protagonist of The Hive Queen. She currently resides in LeafSilk Kingdom with her parents, Katydid and Malachite.

Cricket has cool[1] buttercup yellow[2], orange-gold[3], and sun-colored[4] scales that are speckled here and there with black scales that look like tiny inkblots[5]. She has golden-yellow talons[6], and she keeps her four orange-gold-black[7] wings swooped from her back in beautiful smooth folds[5]. She has warm, dark brown eyes that make Blue think of owls and tree hollows[5].
Cricket is smaller than Blue[8], and has an open, curious face[5]. She has small, sharp claws, like a leopard’s[5], and also has strong arms[8], a long neck[4], and is described as healthy by Lady Scarab[9].
